Bloomberg and Clinton join climate forces

Mayor Bloomberg and former President Bill Clinton have joined forces to address climate change at the city level. While action to reduce climate emissions continues to founder at the national level, Bloomberg, the acting Chairman of C40, a group of cities committed to tackling climate change, has teamed up with Clinton's Climate Change Initiative to reduce emissions from cities-- cities are currently responsible for 70% of the world's carbon emissions.

The C40 Mayors Summit begins today in Sao Paolo, Brazil. C40 assists cities both with financing carbon reductions and with accessing carbon markets.
